Winter on the Bradford Farm

Well….Winter is here. It is cold & a time when we don’t feel like “hustling”!!  BUT…..what are we hearing & seeing everywhere we turn??  Time to set goals!!  Time to set priorities & action steps & plug them into our planners!!  Hurry, hurry, hurry, get your goals done for 2017….set your resolutions for 2017!!

Has your brain gone on overload & TILT yet??  Mine certainly has!!

But I have an out of the box solution for starting the new year right!!

It really is very simple!!

  • Take a step back
  • Take a deep breath
  • Put everything on hold for ONE week
  • Enjoy family time or travel or anything YOU enjoy that will relax your brain
  • Step away from the blog or the business just long enough to allow your brain to reboot

I can hear you all screaming at me now….”But I have a business to run”….”but I can’t just take off”….”I don’t have the time for this”….etc!!

IF YOU don’t take a few days for yourself now, your brain & body will MAKE you take time later….and it won’t be pretty!!

In order for your brain to drop the old, 2016 & all the experiences, good & bad, & for it to be able to focus on your NEW projects, goals, etc., your brain must “reboot”!!  It just needs a little down time, refocus time to something creative like coloring a picture or drawing a zentangle or taking some pics!!  ANYTHING of a creative nature….journaling, scrapbooking, knitting, etc.!!  It needs to NOT think about business for a day or two!!

BUT….in order for this to work, you can’t be planning & thinking about business while you are off!!

Set aside your plans, your goals, your priority setting for just a few days!!  Believe me….the world won’t end!!

Now, when you come back, you will be able to better focus & you will be clearer for setting those priorities & goals!!

In fact, I am currently working on a project for you that will help you to set up your year for the best outcomes!!

Okay, let’s be honest here….how many years have you set goals or made resolutions that you were never able to meet or complete??  Oh, you may have worked hard at it for a week or two or even a month, but then it fell by the wayside, didn’t it??

I tend to do things a little differently than others, but my process has served me well!!

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing with you how I set up my New Year for success!!  Oh, and I don’t start with goals!!

Enough jabbering for now!!  Let’s get you started on that free-time brain reboot for 2017, the best year of your life!!

    1. Thanks Mary Lynne!! My DSL is still out!! I can do this on my phone!! Spark does not let me go to the teams on my phone, just nutrition & fitness tracking!! I am hoping it comes back on soon!!!! I hope 2017 is a wonderfully magical year for you too!! Please tell everyone hello for me!! I will be back as soon as I can!!
